December’s House Competition
It’s that time of year again where John Lewis produce a Christmas advert which inspires some of our learning.
This year’s advert tells the tale of Sir Elton John’s first piano, given to him as a Christmas gift. This gift defined his life as he is now a prolific singer songwriter and pianist.
This year, we are launching a competition for all children to produce their own piece entitled:
The Top of My Wish List
Entries can be in any form; some suggested ideas are:
- Comic Strip
- Power Point
or any of your own ideas.
They will be judged on their creativity and their attention to detail. We would also love it, if we could understand the reasoning behind the thinking. For example, if your dream gift is a football for example, why is that and why is a football at the top rather than something else?
The competition will have four age ranges: Reception, Lower School (Years 1 and 2), Middle School (Years 3 and 4) and Upper School (Years 5 and 6)
Book token prizes will be awarded in the End of Term Assembly and House Points will also be awarded 100 for the winner and 50 for the runner up (2nd place).
Entries to be handed in to the entry box in the office or should be emailed to the school info account (firstname.lastname@example.org) FAO Mrs Ttoffali.
All entries should be received by Monday 17th December.
