There wasn’t a dry eye in sight as our Year 6 children said their farewells in a super assembly which celebrated the achievements of the children over their years at Park, and which captured some of the children’s favourite memories. Some of the children read an amazing reversible poem written by one of our Year 6 children. The whole of the Year 6 cohort performed a poem they had written – Park is the Place. Another of our Year 6 children shared his creative skills by playing a piece on the piano which he had written himself for the occasion. What a talented bunch they are!
The assembly was followed by afternoon tea out on the roof terrace, served by the children to their families.
Whilst each and every child will be missed, we are incredibly proud of the confident, creative and caring young people they have become. We know that they are ready to spread their wings and embrace all that secondary school has to offer.
